Second Sundays at Saunaday
🌿 Join us on the second Sunday of each month for a quiet guided Aufguss ritual featuring fresh botanicals and intentional breath.
Sessions begin at 8:30am, 9:30am, and 10:30am and are complimentary with any overlapping Saunaday reservation. As part of our Quiet Hours, these rituals are held in silence, inviting a deeper sense of presence and restoration.
What is Aufguss? (off-GUS)
Aufguss is a traditional German sauna ritual in which a trained Sauna Master pours water, essential oil-infused snowballs, or fresh botanicals over hot stones and skillfully directs the rising steam through the sauna using precise towel and fan techniques.
Modern Aufguss combines heat, aromatherapy, rhythmic air movement, and intentional pacing to create an immersive, multi-sensory experience.
What to Expect
Each 8–12 minute ritual is led by certified Sauna Master Lynsey Genevieve and features fresh botanical infusions with gentle waves of steam created by fan. The silent format encourages guests to settle into the experience through breath, sensation, and stillness.
Whether it's your first Aufguss or part of an established sauna practice, these sessions offer a beautiful way to deepen your time in the bathhouse.
This program is included with any overlapping Saunaday reservation.
We’re building a home for Aufguss here in the midwest—welcoming a rotating cast of Sauna Masters and styles over time. We can’t wait to welcome you in.
