OUR AGREEMENT
Saunaday’s Code of Conduct
Our mission is all about holding space for genuine care and human connection. When you book your visit to Saunaday, you agree to uphold the Code of Conduct outlined below. If you have questions or concerns about any of our policies, please reach out to hello@sauna.day.
Saunaday Code of Conduct
Community above all
Saunaday is a communal bathhouse, and your presence shapes the experience for others. Please be mindful of personal space and avoid any inappropriate or overly intimate behavior. Conversations among friends are welcome outside of posted Quiet Mornings, but we ask you speak gently, and tune into the energy of each space—adjusting your interactions to help preserve the calm for all.
We reserve the right to ban any guests who disregard our community rules, or exhibit aggressive, disrespectful, inappropriate or unsafe behavior towards other guests or our employees. If you feel unsafe for any reason, please tell a guest services attendant. Together, we create a safe and welcoming sanctuary.
Embrace the time offline
To preserve the tranquility, privacy, and presence that define the Saunaday experience, we maintain a strict no-tech policy throughout all shared spaces. Phones, tablets, e-readers, cameras, and headphones are not permitted outside of the reception area or your Private Suite. If you need a front desk team member monitor important incoming notifications during your session, please let us know—we’re happy to do so. Let the analog beauty of the space, the warmth of the sauna, and the rhythm of your own breath take the lead.
Be safe and well
Bathhouses and contrast therapy are designed to be functional and restorative, yet they can also challenge your limits and carry risks that feel different from a traditional spa. Please move with care—floors will be wet. Walk slowly, use handrails, and always use the designated stairs when moving between levels. For extra stability, we recommend borrowing or purchasing water shoes at the front desk.
Give your body time to settle between sauna and cold plunge so your temperature can return to neutral. If you ever feel dizzy, unstable, or unwell, take a seat immediately and call over a team member.
For your safety, we encourage consulting a physician if you have heart conditions, are pregnant, or have other medical concerns. Please also refrain from visiting if you are ill or contagious.
Honor bathhouse etiquette
Please shower thoroughly before entering. For the comfort of all, avoid perfumes and strong deodorants. Bring your towel with you—hang it nearby and use it to pat dry between amenities to keep the spaces comfortable and safe. Be mindful of others who may be waiting, especially for popular amenities, and rotate through to share the experience. In the dry saunas, enter and exit promptly to preserve heat, and ask before adding water to the stones. Finally, please keep an eye on the time and complete your visit by the end of your reservation. If you stay beyond your session, we may need to extend a charge into the next booking.
Hydrate your beautiful self
Drink ample water before, during, and after your Saunaday. We recommend bringing a water bottle to refill, and filtered water and cups are always available. We will not admit any intoxicated persons into Saunaday. After your session, we invite you to linger and unwind with a carefully curated selection of beverages, chosen to complement the post-sauna glow—not disrupt it. A two-drink maximum applies for alcoholic and THC-infused beverages, and we recommend waiting until after your sauna sessions to imbibe. As always, listen to your body.
Care for bathhouse amenities
We strive to maintain a beautiful healing environment for all. It is imperative to thoroughly rinse off sweat, including heavy metals and toxins released during your sauna session, before entering the cold plunge. Guests with long hair should tie it back—complimentary hair ties are available at the front desk. Please handle our shared amenities and equipment with care, including dropping towels and borrowed water socks in the laundry after use, wiping down benches and chairs, and drying your body between amenities to minimize water pooling throughout the space. In the steam sauna, completely clean your personal space after using muds or scrubs. If something needs attention or doesn’t seem quite right, please let a team member know.
Wear a swimsuit
Saunaday is an all-gender communal bathhouse, and swimwear is required in all shared spaces. Please wear swimwear that is clean and appropriate for a communal setting—this includes traditional swimsuits as well as modesty swimwear or attire worn for religious or cultural reasons. If you forget your swimsuit, we may have options available for purchase. Our intention is to create a respectful, inclusive space where everyone can feel at ease in their own body.
Pack light
To keep the bathhouse calm, clean, and comfortable, we ask that you leave outside food, drinks, shoes, technology, and personal bathing products in your locker (water bottles are welcome). For ease, we provide two towels, slip-resistant water socks to borrow or purchase, and hair ties. You’re also welcome to bring along simple comforts like your favorite robe, towel, sauna hat, or a good book. If you’d like to enhance your ritual, explore our market where we offer carefully chosen bathing products and refreshments designed for safe and nourishing use in the bathhouse.
